Here is a fix that may clear up the message and is common that the message comes up even if it is the right battery. Use a q-tip or soft piece of cloth dipped in a small amount of rubbing alcohol. clean the battery copper contacts as well as the the phone contacts on the back of the phone. You can also use the end of a pencil eraser.

THis should clear up the message as the contacts either on the phone or the battery become stagnant (dust settles on the copper contacts).
